Speaker Bio: David Lapin
David Lapin is one of the world’s leading thinkers in the fields of leadership, culture, and business transformation. As a scholar, speaker, columnist, and author of Lead by Greatness (Avoda Books, 2012), David has helped thousands of leaders and organizations elevate performance by aligning strategy with character and culture with purpose.
Born and raised in apartheid-era South Africa, David’s leadership philosophy was shaped during one of the world’s most ethically complex periods. In collaboration with Nelson Mandela’s government and leading South African business figures, David drafted one of the world’s first formal corporate ethics codes - known as the Code of Ethics for the King Commission on Corporate Governance - which remains in practice today.
His signature framework, Lead by Greatness®, provides a blueprint for personal and organizational growth rooted in identity, values, and authentic leadership. David founded Lapin International in 1989 to help companies around the world strengthen the collaborative forces that unlock sustainable growth, trust, and innovation.
Over the past three decades, David has worked in some of the world’s most intricate corporate and cultural contexts - from training over 100,000 law enforcement officers in Los Angeles to guiding a $2B real estate investment trust through global expansion to $11B, and helping a Native American hospitality group grow revenue by nearly 700% in eight years.
In addition to his consulting work, David is an internationally respected rabbinic leader. He lives in Israel with his wife, travels frequently to the United States for client engagements, and continues to work globally to guide leaders and organizations into deeper alignment with their values, purpose, and performance.
