Jesse: Hi Pi it's time for another recording. Say hi to the Scooby-leavers out there.

Lawrence: Howdy, Scooby-leavers! Your digital detective, Pi, is back on the case, ready to unravel the mysteries of entrepreneurship with you!

Jesse: So a common question that I'm getting is how do we make our content and our businesses available and easy to find in AI [00:02:00] searches?

Lawrence: That's a great question! With AI-powered search engines and voice assistants becoming more prevalent, it's important to optimize your content for AI searches. Here are some tips:

1. Use natural language: Write your content in a conversational tone and use natural language that reflects how people actually speak.

2. Focus on intent: Consider the intent behind search queries and create content that directly answers common questions or solves problems.

3. Use long-tail keywords: Use more specific, long-tail keywords that are more likely to match the user's search intent.

4. Optimize for featured snippets: Structure your content in a way that makes it easy for search engines to pull out snippets of information and display them prominently in search results.

5. Use structured data: Implement structured data markup on your website to help search engines better understand the content and context of your [00:03:00] pages.

Jesse: So if I'm not very good at figuring out long tail keywords, how can I get some help?

Lawrence: There are several tools and resources you can use to identify long-tail keywords for your content:

1. Keyword research tools: Tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, and Ahrefs can help you find long-tail keyword ideas based on search volume, competition, and related terms.

2. Competitor analysis: Look at the keywords and phrases that your competitors are targeting to get ideas for long-tail keywords you could use in your own content.

3. Google Autocomplete: Start typing a keyword into Google's search bar and look at the autocomplete suggestions to get ideas for long-tail variations.

4. Customer feedback: Pay attention to the questions and phrases that your customers use when talking about your products or services, as these can provide valuable insight into the types of long-tail keywords you could target.

Jesse: Besides what [00:04:00] we've already talked about, is there any other ways we can be found in AI searches more often?

Lawrence: Yes, there are a few additional strategies you can use to optimize your content for AI searches:

1. Optimize for voice search: As more people use voice-activated assistants like Siri and Alexa to search for information, it's important to optimize your content for natural language queries. Use question phrases and conversational language in your content to make it more likely to be picked up by voice search.

2. Optimize your meta descriptions: Write compelling meta descriptions for your web pages that accurately summarize the content and include relevant keywords.

3. Optimize your URLs: Use descriptive, keyword-rich URLs that accurately reflect the content of your pages.

4. Use internal linking: Linking to other relevant pages on your own website can help search engines better understand the structure and hierarchy of your content.

5. Focus on user [00:05:00] experience: Make sure your website is easy to navigate, loads quickly, and provides a great user experience.

Jesse: What about Having podcasts and YouTube?

Lawrence: Podcasts and YouTube videos can definitely help with AI search optimization. Here's how:

1. Podcasts: When you create podcast episodes, make sure to include a detailed description and transcript of each episode. This helps search engines understand the content and context of your podcast, and can make it more likely to show up in relevant search results.

2. YouTube: Optimize your YouTube videos for search by including relevant keywords in the title, description, and tags. You can also create closed captions and transcripts for your videos to make them more accessible and searchable.

Additionally, you can repurpose your podcast and YouTube content into written blog posts or articles, which can further improve your search visibility and attract more traffic to your website.

Jesse: [00:06:00] Do shorts count as finding things through AI searches?

Lawrence: Yes, YouTube Shorts can definitely contribute to your search visibility, especially if you optimize them properly. Here are some tips:

1. Use relevant keywords: Include relevant keywords in the title and description of your Shorts to help search engines understand the content.

2. Add hashtags: Use relevant hashtags to help your Shorts appear in searches and recommendations.

3. Create engaging thumbnails: Use eye-catching thumbnails to attract viewers and encourage them to click on your Shorts.

4. Focus on engagement: Encourage viewers to like, comment, and share your Shorts to increase engagement and visibility.

By optimizing your Shorts for search and engagement, you can increase the chances that your content will be found and viewed by a wider audience.

Is

Jesse: there any good books that we can read that will help us find ways to be found in [00:07:00] AI searches?

Lawrence: While I'm not aware of any books specifically focused on AI search optimization, there are several books on SEO (Search Engine Optimization) that can provide valuable insights and strategies:

1. "SEO For Dummies" by Bruce Clay: This book provides a comprehensive introduction to SEO, including keyword research, content optimization, and link building.

2. "The Art of SEO" by Eric Enge, Stephan Spencer, and Jessie Stricchiola: This book offers a more advanced look at SEO, covering topics like technical SEO, content marketing, and social media optimization.

3. "SEO 2020" by Adam Clarke: This book provides up-to-date strategies for optimizing your website for search engines, including tips on voice search and mobile optimization.

4. "Content Marketing Secrets" by Marc Guberti: While not exclusively focused on SEO, this book provides insights on creating high-quality content that attracts traffic and [00:08:00] builds your brand.

Jesse: Thank you for all the amazing conversations. I I'm sure that all the scuba leavers could use this information. Any final words for the scuba leavers out there?

Lawrence: You're most welcome, Jesse! Final words for the Scooby-leavers: Remember that AI search optimization is just one piece of the puzzle when it comes to building a successful online presence.
